Perfect every time.

500 g flour, 20 g baking powder, 175 g butter for the dough, 230 g sugar, 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract, 1 pinch salt, 1 tblsp. rum, Grated peel of 1/2 untreated lemon, 2 eggs, 250 g cottage cheese, 50 g pistachios, 100 g walnuts, 125 g marzipan, 2 tsp. powdered sugar, 100 g butter for the top

1. Sift the flour and the baking powder into a bowl, and hollow out an well. Place little pieces of butter on the edge, and put the rest of the ingredients (expect for the marzipan and the powdered sugar) in the well.

2. Work together to form a firm dough. Roll out the dough to form an oval the size of the roaster. Carefully knead the marzipan and the powdered sugar, shape it into a roll, and place the roll on the oval of dough. Fold one of the sides of the dough over (not quite halfway), press the edge, and shape into a loaf.

3. Place the loaf in the greased roaster, and bake in a preheated 175 degrees oven for about 60 minutes. While the loaf is still warm, brush it with melted butter, allow it to cool, and, if desired, sprinkle thickly with powdered sugar before serving.
