Im loving the pressure cooker! Id only used an instapot before but it broke after only several years of use- I wanted a long term pressure cooker & read about fissler! Its so easy to use and the features make it feel safe. So thankful I got this!
I bought my first pressure cooker in 2000, Fagor brand. While it served me well enough, parts are no longer available and I went with Fissler as a replacement. I have both this 6.3qt for smaller 1-pot meals as well as the 8.5qt for making batches of pinto/black beans. Both are excellent, built like tanks, and highly performant. If you’re in the market for a pressure, cooker, I can’t imagine it getting better than this,
The quality of the pressure cooker is amazing, the traffic pressure indicator is easy to use. The pressure cooker make a little noise so you can hear it when is getting to temperature. I would recommend due to is very friendly to use, Good quality and safe to operate.
Only used a couple times, but no issues as of yet. Have used Indian pressure cookers till now which are more traditional, so took time to read this manual since it has more parts, especially for cleaning. We bought the 10qt which is pretty heavy, so I'm glad I can put the pot at least in the dishwasher, which worked well. Used the cooker to steam idlis too, which also worked well. So far we're happy with this purchase, hoping it lasts us a long time.
Once a week I fill 6 9 oz. stainless containers and soak them with water overnight. Then I fill 6 with various grains and put the appropriate amount of water in all 12, put tin foil over each and cook all at one time. The trick is to use beans and grains that require similar pressure cooking times. I pop lids on, refridgerate and I have beans and grains for lunch (with a salad/vegetable) for 6 days each week. AWESOME! This is an incredible pressure cooker! (I have the pressure skillet too which I use to heat up my lunches by bringing to pressure then turning off the heat.) Thank you!
Excellent build quality, finish and elegant looking. Regulates steam perfection and cooks food very well. I got this and the smaller 4.2 qt one. Very happy with the buy. Loaned it to a friend and she too decided to buy. Excellent product.
I named it Xena, it's strong, reliable, and beautiful all in one. This has to be one of my best kitchen tools I've ever had. Best purchase ever.
So fantastic! I waited a long time to buy this and am so glad I finally did. Cooking time is 70% faster, stews are succulent, beans are like butter, the system is simple, safe and so fun. Totally in love, perfect size too, family of 5 and we are not huge leftover eaters so this is exactly the perfect size!
Nice pressure cooker - just getting started using it. Very happy
Amazing craftsmanship! It's very easy to follow instructions and use this pressure cooker. Love the various safety valves, easy to understand locking mechanism and the traffic light which enables to maintain the optimum pressure. All accessories are great too! This is the Tools Royce of pressure coolers! Look forward to using it for years to come
happy with the product
Couldn't be happier with this pressure cooker. It cuts cooking time to a fraction, it maintains the flavors better than any other, it's easy to operate and wash.
Fantastic addition to my cookware
We've had a Fissler pressure cooker - heavily used - for 25 years. It just needed two changes of seals and one valve in that time - thankfully Fissler is the kindnof company that stabda behind their products for the looooong run. We needed a larger one to make meals for a growing family - so we didn't hesitate for even a nanosecond to go with this one. When it arrived we were blown away (again) by the build quality, the materials, the impeccable finishes, even the packaging is enlightened - and a superbly printed user manual - that also recognizes there are many many cultures in the world that have a need for a pressure cooker and hence many languges in the manual reflect. Don't hesitate - these will be with you while you slug away at everyday meals for yourself and loved-ones, and they'll also be there for celebrations and major life events just chugging away dependably and enabling you to produce excellent meals - with barely ever a hiccup.
If anyone values a good pressure cooker, then they have to get one from Fissler. I am amazed at how easy it is use and how well it it cooks everything, especially meat.
I'm very happy with this product! I would rate the quality of the pressure cooker as very high. I felt very comfortable using the product and the built in safety features made me feel much more confident using it. Most importantly, you know when the lid is securely fastened for safe use. I also loved the indicator that lets you know when you've reached the correct pressure and allows you to monitor the pressure level throughout the cooking process. I wouldn't have believed that cooking soaked Navy beans only takes 7 minutes in the pressure cooker, had I not experienced myself. Definitely worth the investment!
I was worried that at this price this pressure cooker would not fulfill the expectation of all the glowing reviews I’ve read about these. But it’s every bit as good as I hoped. The only reason it’s not 5 stars is because I find the release valve a little hard to operate. Still I would gladly buy it again.
This is a great pressure cooker. It is the 3rd Fissler pressure cooker I own, so you can tell I like their products.
