For those who are unsure about what size or type of Fissler pressure cooker would be best for them, I have compiled the dimensions of the various Vitaquick pressure cookers and pressure pans which may help in your decision. This is the info I gathered when I was looking to purchase my own. FYI, I wasn’t able to get the dimensions for the “skillet-type” pressure pans from the Fissler website, so I took measurements in a local store. I am also posting the minimum liquid requirements for these cookers which I took from my owner’s manual. For pressure cookers with the 8.7" diameter top (22 cm), a minimum of 8.5 oz. is needed to produce steam. For those with a 10.2" diameter top (26 cm), a minimum of 10.3 oz. is required. I am assuming that these minimums apply to the skillets too, but I would consult your owner’s manual or speak with Fissler to confirm. Dimensions for the POT-Type Pressure Cookers: 4.8 Qt. - Top: 8.7"; Base: 7.5"; Height (without lid): 6.0"; Min. Liquid: 8.5 oz. 6.4 Qt. - Top: 8.7"; Base: 7.5"; Height (without lid): *7.25"; Min. Liquid: 8.5 oz. 8.5 Qt. - Top: 10.2"; Base: 9.25”; Height (without lid): 7.0"; Min. Liquid: 10.3 oz. 10.6 Qt - Top: 10.2"; Base: 9.25"; Height (without lid): 7.5"; Min. Liquid: 10.3 oz. (*Note that the 6.4 Qt. is actually taller than the 8.5 Qt., this is not a typo); Dimensions for the SKILLET-Type Pressure Cookers (a/k/a Pressure Pans): 2.7 Qt. - Top: 8.7”; Base: 7.5” (approx); Height (without lid): 3.0” 4.2 Qt. - Top: 10.2"; Base: 9.25” (approx); Height (without lid): 3.5”
