The Fissler sealing rings are suitable for pressure cookers in the Vitavit® Comfort / Premium series with a diameter of 18 cm to 26cm.This sealing ring does not replace the old version (this version is no longer available and was used for pressure cookers that have been out of production for well over 25 years). There is no alternative to this.

    I noticed that my original gasket has a message embossed on the surface advising the user to replace the gasket every two or three years. Fissler had the replacement in stock, provided it on time, and charged a reasonable price, lower than I could find anywhere else. The pressure cooker and Fissler's customer service have been outstanding.

    It a Fissler part. Not surprisingly it fits. And it works. The product seems somewhat overpriced ($25) relative to the cost of the pressure cooker pot itself. And about $7 for shipping a $25 light weight gasket is excessive in an Amazon Prime world. But you need a quality gasket. Remember what happened to the Challenger Space Shuttle. I don’t mess around when it comes to gaskets.
